The following are associations and clubs involved with the Taralga Showground.

Taralga A P & H Association 

The Taralga Agricultural, Pastoral and Horticultural Association was formed in the spring of 1879, and the first show was held on April 14, 1880.

 

The annual show is hosted in March each year, and 2025 will be the 139th Show. The Taralga Show includes numerous fantastic events, including Horse, Sheep, Cattle and Poultry showing events. Also held are Quick Shear,  Sheep Count, Dog High Jump and Tug-of-war.

 

The pavilion always looks amazing with plenty of flowers, art and craft, photography, cookery, garden produce and more! There are activities for the kids and plenty of things to see and do as a family!

Taralga Campdraft & Rodeo

The Taralga Rodeo is held on Australia Day each year.

Bring your family and friends along and witness the exhilarating events of the rodeo including steer wrestling, barrel racing, bareback and saddle bronc and the bull ride.

A variety of stalls attend, and food, drinks and bar service is also available.

Southern Tablelands Vintage Farm Machinery Club

Held November each year, activities at the event include:

  1. Vintage trucks, Tractors

  2. Beautifully restored heritage farm machinery

  3. Classic & Vintage cars

  4. Small motors - Stationary Engines

  5. Steam Engine

  6. Working demonstrations

  7. Trade Stalls with lots of rusty bits

Food and drinks all weekend

Taralga Tigers Rugby Club

The Taralga Tigers play home games at the Taralga Showground during the Rugby season.

Taralga Pony Club

The Taralga Pony Club holds Rally Days once a month, as well as an annual Gymkhana. The club is affiliated with the Pony Club Association of NSW Inc.

Respectful Stay at Taralga Showground
 

Taralga Showground operates under the NSW Crown Lands management framework. We are committed to providing all visitors, including campers and caravanners, with a safe, peaceful and enjoyable environment.

 

All patrons are expected to respect other visitors, the showground facilities and the surrounding community. This includes:

  • Keeping noise to a reasonable level, particularly during designated quiet times.

  • Keeping dogs on a leash at all times and ensuring they are under control.

  • Respecting other campers and visitors and their enjoyment of the showground.

  • Leaving your site and shared facilities clean and tidy.

  • Following all showground rules and reasonable directions from showground management.

 

Patrons who behave in a manner that is disruptive, disrespectful or inconsistent with these requirements may be asked to leave the showground.

Thank you for helping us maintain a welcoming, peaceful and enjoyable place for everyone.
